In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Supporting the Use of Renewable Energy Sources," a transparent and competitive auction system for renewable energy projects has been established.

Key elements of the legislative framework:
— Centralized scheme of electricity purchase and sale with the participation of the Settlement and Financial Center (SFC)
— Standard 15-year PPA contract at auction tariff in tenge
— Standard form of connection of renewable energy facilities to the power grid
— Contract with the Government of Kazakhstan when implementing investment projects

Main principles of the auctions:
— The participant offering the lowest price per 1 kWh wins
— Auctions are conducted by zones of the Unified Energy System of Kazakhstan, taking into account technical limits and types of RES (HPP, SPP, WPP, etc.)
— Applications are submitted online via JSC "KOREM"
— Auctions are held according to the schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan
— Participation requires a bank guarantee

Ensuring competition and transparency:
— All interested companies may participate
— The auction schedule is published at least 3 months in advance
— The volume of applications must exceed the announced capacity by at least 30%
— Participation of at least two companies is mandatory
— Grid connection points and land plots are reserved in advance
