ISSYK HPP-1 and HPP-2

Issyk HPP is a diversion HPP utilizing a portion of the Issyk River for hydraulic power generation. HPP is designed to transfer electricity to power grid of the south of Kazakhstan.

A contract for purchase of electricity has been concluded with “Accounting and Finance Centre for the Support of Renewable Energy Sources”, LLP.

VERKHNE-BASKANSK HPP-1

Verkhne-Baskansk HPP is a diversion HPP utilizing upper portion of the Baskan River for hydraulic power generation. HPP is designed to transfer electricity to power grid of the south of Kazakhstan.

Gross installed capacity 9.8 MW

Gross electric power output, yearly 20.1 mln. kW*h

Location Sarkand district of Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 180 km from Taldykorgan, near Yekiasha village.

The project is included to the List of the Ministry of Energy of the RK for energy producing organizations using renewable energy sources, holding site construction project feasibility study for the use of renewable energy sources, approved and agreed with authorized body or local executive body.

The plant was commissioned in December 2015.

A contract with “Accounting and Finance Centre for the Support of Renewable Energy Sources”, LLP, has been concluded for purchase of electricity at a fixed rate; today the rate is 19.48 tenge per 1 kW/h.

The project has a positive conclusion of state expertise.

Verkhne-Baskansk HPP is a diversion HPP utilizing upper portion of the Baskan River for hydraulic power generation. HPP is designed to transfer electricity to power grid of the south of Kazakhstan.

Gross installed capacity 10.6 MW

Gross electric power output, yearly 54 mln. kW*h

Location Sarkand district of Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 180 km from Taldykorgan, near Yekiasha village.

 

A contract with “Accounting and Finance Centre for the Support of Renewable Energy Sources”, LLP, has been concluded for purchase of electricity.

The project has a positive conclusion of state expertise.

Location   Sarkand district of the Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 170 km from Taldykorgan, near Almaly village.

Pokatilov reservoir

The reservoir is planned to be built to regulate the flow of the Baskan River and be used for irrigation, hydropower generation, fishery and recreation.
